Anyone know why my prayer plant is looking so wilty? She’s definitely not thirsty. I’ve never had much success with these pretty prayer plants.

Is she overwatered, underwatered? … These plants are pretty fussy, anything could be a problem for her! Let’s see what advice others give you. Good luck! 😊💚🪴

Potentially over. I bought her from Safeway recently

Also, have you checked her roots?

Is she getting enough sunlight? How long has she been on a watering schedule?

Good sun for half of the day. I only bought her a week ago so she just getting started

Since these plants are so darn fussy, maybe she’s just having a fit because she’s in a new space, etc. You know, your plant is like the princess and the pea; she feels everything! If you’ve only had her for a week or so, perhaps just giving her some time to adjust to everything new, may be the right answer! Regards. 😊💚🪴

But if you think there’s possibly an overwatering issue, be sure to check her roots for rot! Hope she does better. 😊💚🪴

Guess what, I moved her to the kitchen, by the sink. This is where I put my plants in distress so I see them frequently and I’m reminded to keep a close eye on them. She has perked halfway up already! I think maybe she didn’t like being by all the other plants and wants to shine on her own :)

I told ‘ya! She’s just a pill and a half… typical of prayer plants. Hope she continues on the straight, narrow, but I doubt it; there’s always something for these fussy ladies to complain about! 😉 Regards. 😊💚🪴

Maybe I’ll move my other one. She’s perky enough but forever having yellow edges (can’t tell from the pic cuz I’m always trimming them off)

Prayer Plants are SO dramatic! I found that mine did best in our bathroom windowsill. That way if I under- watered, it would still soak up the moisture/steam from showering.

Nice trick! They are finicky. I got the one last pictured because my step mom was done fighting the battle lol

Prayer plants… If you don’t love ‘em, you got to hate ‘em, right?! 🤪 P.S. But it’s so much nicer, loving them, isn’t it?! 😉

They always look so sad in the day time. Night time is when they pray … they love humidity.

Ah! You’re right, back to slightly droopy compared to last night but nothing like the original pics she much likes the kitchen (20 ft from morning sunny window)

My prayer plant was on the dining room table, which Planta said was fine, however, she definitely didn’t like it; her leaves would really droop. One day I moved her to the kitchen island because I was using the dining room table and, lo and behold, her arms flew right up in the air, so beautiful! And that was a site that Planta said was not good for her…hmmm. So, she now lives on the kitchen island and she appears to be supremely happy! Go figure…😊💚🪴

So weird right. I don’t trust plantas site recommendations so much (esp watering) bc my monstera did better in my dark hallway then anywhere else lol
