Do plants eventually get like too old? Like humans? Or do they grow forever? Are my children going to have a lot of responsibility with my plants? 😂

My jade plant, Aslan, is a CUTTING from my abuela’s original jade plant and the cutting alone is THIRTY YEARS OLD. No one knows how old her original is. She gave a cutting to each of her daughters so a piece of her home would be in all their new homes. Aslan’s been very special to my family since my abuela passed, cause she was known for her green thumb, and we always associate her with flowers and gardens. Btw, highly suggest making this your own family tradition. Jades make great plants for beginners, especially forgetful ones that might not remember to water it, since they thrive on neglect.
