Hey! So I’ve had Alocasias in the past, but they always seem to die on me no matter what I do. If anyone has one could you give me some tips before I buy a new one!

Start with something harder to kill, like a silver dragon… mine has been pretty indestructible
2 Me gustaI have quite a few plants and I am very good with them. It’s just that ONE type of plant I can’t master.
0 Me gustaMy silver dragon is what started it all for me. My sister bought it for me as a housewarming gift and I plopped it in an east facing window and it’s been just the best plant for me. I’ve learned a lot since getting it…harvested corms and pups and have it in a nice chunky aroid mix now
1 me gustaI bought my first one last fall and it was doing great. In the winter I moved to my plant cabinet to help with humidity but the leaves still turned yellow and fell off. I almost gave up hope until I saw someone say theirs really likes to live in water. It came back to life a few months ago! Only use rain or distilled water and lots of humidity. I say give it another try 😉
1 me gustaHere’s my tip….buy Chinese Evergreen. Many different colors & patterns. Aglaonemas are very easy and do t suck the life out of you trying to keep them alive like Alocasias and Calatheas! 🥺
