That looks like over watering. I would check the roots and see if there is any root rot
4 Me gustaYour cactus is definitely stressed, this could be caused by a few different environmental factors. Possibilities: -Overwatering is a likely cause of issues with cacti, which are sensitive to wet soil. Overwatering is about frequency, not amount, and can lead to root rot. -Too much sun, a San Pedro cactus in full, direct sun all day can be harmful, causing the plant to turn yellow, which might explain the light green color. -Not enough light can also cause pale color and a stretched appearance, and it increases the chance of other diseases. -Fungal infections can cause various spots and can be related to overwatering or poor air circulation. Recommendations -Make ssure the soil dries out completely between waterings. Use a pot with good drainage and well-draining soil, like a 50-50 mix of cactus soil and perlite/pumice. -Use a light meter to measure the amount of light the plant is getting. An indoor San Pedro cactus needs 2,000+ lumens per square foot for healthy growth. For optimal, potentially flowering growth, it needs 5,000+ lumens; provide full-spectrum LED grow light for 12–16 hours daily. -If the plant feels squishy or soft, especially at the base, it may have root rot. You may need to remove the infected section with a sterilized knife and repot the healthy part.
2 Me gustaThis looks like overwatering, what’s your watering schedule been like? We tend to overwater cacti and overshade them. I would check the roots and remove any signs of rot or squishiness. Let it callus over for a day and then repot into a well draining cactus mix and ideally place outside in full sun.
1 me gustaRoots are actually dry and plant not squishy! I do have it in front of a south facing window pretty close so maybe too much sun? I moved it to indirect light spot
2 Me gustaYay no squishy! It may just need to acclimate to stronger light. Keep it in the south window and I wouldn’t water until it starts to wrinkle
1 me gustaOk!! I have faith 🙏🏼 thank you so much!!!
