My calathea has started turning brown at the edge of his leaves. Does he need repotting? More sunlight? I have no idea how to keep him happy. Please help 😩xx

Yeah I think it might need to be repotted. And some more bright light but not direct light because it will scorch the leaves. Good luck!

One of my first plants was a calathea and the leaves require high humidity (40+ percent) to prevent browning. I didn't know this and had to toss my little guy.

They also don’t like tap water. I have to use filtered for my calatheas

I think it needs more humidity. I do mist my prayer plant occasionally and I have a vase with pebbles and water next to it since I don’t have a humidifier on it

I’ve read that de-chlorinated water helps with browning leaves. Aquarium tap water conditioners have been said to work well. I just got my calathea so read about it but can’t vouch for it yet.
