Long story short. I bought this Hydrangea at the beginning of summer and added it to my new flower bed. The issue was, the soil was predominantly clay and despite me mixing with compost, after a large rainfall turned the bed in to a bucket of water and drowned half my flowers. I decided to salvage whats left of this plant and put her in a pot, with the hopes that I can revive the roots fast enough for her to survive the winter. Any advice on what I should do? You can see that most the stems are dead, this is the last living stem with a (surprisingly) still alive flower. Should I just give up??
