Growing lots of new leaves but they’re coming discolored and kinda deformed. What am I doing wrong? No pests anywhere. It gets great light and I water like every 4-5 days according to the app.

Looks like a stromanthe or something in the maranta family. I’d wager its that it wants distilled water.

They are all divas, every one of them. Distilled water High humidity Moist soil If you can ph balance your water even better. It’s all extra but with anything maranta related, you will quickly notice the difference

I think it’s the water part. Everything else it gets. I use the stress coat in the water hoping it would’ve helped.

Yeh it could still not be enough if it’s not just the cloramines that removes, might be hard water adding a mineral that’s no good like lime. I have 8 Calatheas and all had burnt tips until I made the switch to distilled. Now they all are perfect every time.

I use rainwater on my triostar and shes a brat. I used filtered water for when I fertilize also in a high humidity cabinet, and potted in cococoir and she’s a little diva for sure. Also has grow lights and she still gives me more green and less veragation. I did hear that salt in the water will make her croak so I stopped using tap water.

She has a lot of light and still isn’t super variegated. Not sure what to do there. I’ve set her right by a window.
