Hello Planta Family! Question about grow lights. I currently have Sansi lights… which my plants love. But I’m thinking about reorganizing my jungle and came across these BamWorld shelves that come with grow lights. Wondering if anybody has these and what your thoughts are on them? They look super convenient and have 4.4 out of 5 stars on Amazon but sometimes you can’t trust the reviews online.
I personally have no experience with these, however, I would have to question the strength of those horizontal grates that you would set the plant pots on? How thick and strong is that grating material?
0개 좋아요 It’s made of Eucalyptus Wood which, according to google, is “stronger than red oak”. What that means… I don’t know. 🤣
2개 좋아요 I don’t how the different “woods” would compare for strength. As long as that grating is thick and strong enough then I don’t see anything wrong as long as there is enough room for your plants.
0개 좋아요I have this and love the lights. The only issue I have is I have tall plants and they do not fit on the lower parts of the stand.

0개 좋아요 Right?! I currently have 4 locations that are full of plants. As you all know the plant addiction is real. This would be an additional location. So maybe a good spot for all my littles. 🤔

I bought the same one with two more sets of additional grow lights that I can clip onto the top of off the side for when my monstera takes off!

I have two of these shelves (without the included grow lights) and they’ve withstood about a year with cats climbing around the bottom. No mishaps. No issues with water exposure. They are sturdy and stable enough to be in front of one side of a sliding glass door, so they do okay without being drilled/anchored to a wall as well.

I have a lot of grow lights so I have some experience with using them. These probably will be more for aesthetics. I like the stand design but the lights are pretty much useless unless they supplement a bright window. The seller says nothing of how bright they are, which I think means that they aren’t. And even calls them fairy lights in the description. If you like Sansi, get their 10 watt pod lights. They can be bright enough for succulents with multiples. The pic is a recent console that I added them to.
That’s what my concern is too. My plants love the sansi lights so it’s so hard to try something new and unknown which may possibly make my babies unhappy. For $35 I’m willing to give it a shot and donate or add sansi’s if it doesn’t work out. The struggle bus for space and organization is real. Especially if you want to keep adding to the jungle. I have very few east and west facing windows and I have had serious conversations with my husband about either adding windows or buying a new house. 🤣 He already knew I was crazy when he married me so he’s use to it.
The most efficient stands are the adjustable metal stands. I prefer the wood but those stands didn’t always fit my plants. Here are some of my set ups.
I have bamworld plant stands and the lights have worked well for me. In fact I have two more that I need to build.

좋아요 1개I bought one of these and am very new to the plant world, I think they burned 2 of my leaves that were close to the lights? Not sure, could be a user error but I had many small plants on this and the tallest leaves on 2 plants both appear burned so I moved them to the top shelf. The others seem fine so far 🤞
I’m going to have to get one of these at some point, but I don’t know where I can put it! 😂
