I was hoping to get some advice for my Aloe. I’ve read where some people tend to overwater when they listen to the watering schedule on this app for Aloe Vera. I suspected that I was overwatering it last month so I skipped until this time but I’m not sure whether to wait longer still? The leaves are very firm still yet the soli is dry. And mine is super green in color?? A lot of other peoples aloe is not that green usually and just makes me worry that I’m doing something wrong??

It honestly looks great! I like to stick a wooden skewer to the bottom of the pot and see if it comes out moist/wet I wait a bit longer.

Looks great. The couple species I have changed color under a strong grow light, but they also seemed happy with indirect light. I’m generalizing, but aloe are hardy - they took over every succulent arrangement I made in 2022 lol.

I wasn’t much of an aloe fanatic until this one :)

Ours lives on our kitchen window sill so gets the sun all year round. During the growing season I water once a month (maybe a week or two less if the leaves look thinner/ the leaves are curling upward and inward). Outside the growing season she gets water every 2 months (again, maybe more if same conditions apply). She’s thriving and while refreshing the soil last week I found a new offshoot growing so was over the moon :) I’ve seen a lot of advice around that Aloe Vera love to be abused by drought and can agree- they are amazing survivors :) EDIT: …and yes, the soil after a month or two is like dust, doesn’t seem to bother her much :)

Also they may look waxy/ grey-green because they produce a natural sunscreen. It’s ok to clean the leaves from time to time, but from what I’ve seen and read it’s an important adaptation they have to cope with bright sun :) So again, vibrancy of green could depend on this
