I can’t get this mini Africa Violet to bloom to save my axx!! I feed it Growth Technology AV focus. Bottom fed with wicks it’s in AV soil. When I got it was blooming. It’s a ness crinkle blue. Beautiful rose shaped blue flowers. I got it May 18th of this year. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done. I’ve removed some leaves I thought were suckers. Some leaves are upside down. Please help me. All advice is greatly appreciated!!!

Overall, it looks very healthy. Only thing I can think of is to work with how much sunlight it’s getting. Maybe it needs a little more to get the blooms going? Don’t feel too bad, I had 3 African violets completely give up and die on me while all my “harder” plants were flourishing. Sometimes plants are jerks.

It’s not the light. It’s under a grow lamp and has a purple grow light as well.

I agree, it’s likely the light. My best friend is a PRO at African Violets. She gifted me one more than a year ago and it’s in my office at work where it gets neglected but sits in an east facing window. It flowers all year round. Sometimes when I haven’t been there for a week or more, I’m SO HAPPY to see the blooms! Don’t give up! You got this!

I agree that looks like enough light, but I’m not an expert with them by any means. Have you measured the light output with a light meter?
