Help! I was recently gifted a heart fern for Valentine’s Day. When I got the plant, it was so full. I left work on Friday and it looked fine, but when I came back on Tuesday it had shriveled. I think there was too much light and not enough humidity in my office. Most of the leaves have shriveled and died. My three remaining leaves are starting to shrivel at the edges. What can I do to bring it back or help it grow again? Or will my plant ever grow back to how it was? I added a photo of what it looked like when I brought it home from my office.

You're already spot-on for assessing its needs; move it to less light and increase humidity. Old leaves may or may not come back, so watch younger ones for indications of health. If humidity isn't enough, water slightly more often

How do you feel about terrariums? Or putting it under a cloche? Heartleaf ferns are notoriously difficult to keep happy in ambient humidity.

They are very finicky and like to stay moist always

This is the only way o can keep this plant alive. I killed my mom’s plant some months back lol had to sneak a new one in the house. This plant loves humidity! No cold drafts, no direct sun, you need airflow, no lime water, wipe it with water to keep clean don’t leave water on the leaves it will get fungal and black spots on the leaves. It’s about 5.5 ft from a southwestern facing window I burp the cloche every 3 days but I burped it every day for 15 minutes the first 2 weeks in the 10in glass cloche. It takes a little while for it to bounce back but just get a cloche lol .

      What is burping the cloche?

Burping is just opening the cloche for about 15 - 30 minutes and putting it back on
