Hi everyone! I’m fairly new to plant ownership, less than a year. I discovered spider mites 2 weeks ago on my plumeria, I moved him to a secluded area and thought I treated him well. He still has spider mites today :( I sprayed his leaves with water and sprayed him with neem oil. Today, I treated him again, decided to take a closer look at my other plants and omg…. I found multiple plants with aphids AND spider mites. I am in complete shambles. I need any and all advice. I don’t have the room to quarantine ALL my plants, they are all touching each other or in close proximity.

Spray with 70% isopropyl alcohol and keep them out of the light until they dry. No bugs can live through that. Be sure to spray all parts of the exposed plant but not the roots. It will really help and won’t harm your plants. I’ve done this many times and it’s the only thing I’ve found to really get rid of an infestation. Spray all the plants even if you don’t think they have bugs. They likely have them hiding.

I do the exact same thing! And I add houseplant granules to the soil. I just can’t do bugs!

I had to completely repot mine and do all of the above. Once I gave her new dirt she got better

The ones on the orange flower look like they might be aphids. If that's the case, put a ladybug or two on it (ideally, spray it with water first so any neem won't get the ladybug, but if that's not feasible, just use an asian ladybug; they are technically kind of invasive so it's not a big deal if it dies). For the spider mites, physically remove as many as possible and then spray down the plants (whole thing, leaves and all) aggressively with water every day (i'm talking water spraying with enough pressure to knock any bugs you missed off the plant.) Doing that daily will bother any remaining mites enough that they should leave. As for the alcohol suggestion from the other commenter; it can be harsh and burn some plants' leaves, but it is very effective for killing bugs. You might want to do a little test spot with it on each plant to see which ones can handle it

You could get lady bugs and green lace wing larvae. They will easily take care of both!
