Amateur plant mamaI usually repot when there are more roots than soil in the pot. I fertilize every other watering or so during the summer.

Tee JayYou repot when you have 80-90% roots and 10% soil left in the pot. How often you add fertilizer depends on what type of you have. I personally fertilize every time I water because my plants are actively growing. But there are some fertilizers that are slow release so you only have to do it twice a year

Chey GuyFertilizers and repotting needs depend heavily on the type of plant we are talking about. Usually people repot when there’s more roots than soil left in the pot. I have some plants I fertilize every two weeks (semi hydro plants like my alocasias and pothos) and some plants I fertilize twice a year (succulents).

NikillerI repot when the soil mix is bad for the plant, when the root ball is rootbound and causing the plants to stop/slow growth, or when the plant becomes too heavy to stand in the pot and needs something sturdier. Fertilizing is completely separate from repotting and you should be fertilizing pretty often. I do it every watering with some plants, every 2/3 with some, and every third watering with others.
