I bought a small snake plant a couple of years ago that didn’t grow much (plant on the right) then found out it was a “dwarf” snake plant. It put out a tiny baby off to the side that has now outgrown the first one. Should I separate them?

    i think yes. the pup will soon outcompete the mother plant

    Snake plants like to be very root bound. Putting out a pup means it’s happy. It will continue to put out more pups to fill its pot. I would leave it alone and you’ll end up with a full pot over time.

    I never pull out pups, it means your plant is happy. I like the look of a fuller pot.
