I just got my first mint plant yesterday. What do I do in regard to care and pruning it? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

    With it flowering, it might already be at the end of its life cycle so the mint might have a slightly different taste than it normally should. You can still use it though, I believe. You’ll just want to take enough without taking everything (if you want to get seeds from it, wait till the flowers are dried & you’ll get the seeds from them). Mint is very invasive though so make sure you don’t have any other plants next to it - IT WILL SPREAD.

    Trim it to keep it full. Collect every single piece of cutting to prevent them from rooting in the yard. It really is highly invasive. Give it all day full sun or it will die down and look scraggly. Fertilize regularly. Water before the leaves dry out. 🪴🍀
