I am new to taking care of plants. I have had this plant for a couple months and water it regularly. It is not doing well. What am I doing wrong?

Hi! I’d recommend repotting into a houseplant soil. Good soil is key to a happy plant. The pot should have drainage. When watering, you want water to be dripping out of the drainage hole. Overwatering does not occur with too much water, it occurs watering too frequently. So, when watering, really drench the soil and leave time for it to dry before watering again. What kind of light does this plant get? Best of luck

Thank you! I will try to repot it… it was under a skylight (so fairly direct sun) I just moved it to a more shaded window after reading that they don’t like full sun

I have a couple “wandering jew” plants myself and I find the like a more tropical/chunky/aerated soil mixture and like to be about 3 feet from a window that gets sun for about a half day. As for watering it used to be when the soil would dry out but now I leave it to my app reminders! I hope this helps!

I’ve noticed that mine hates tap water, I switched to distilled and she’s done a ton better ever since!
