Any advice for a newbie plant owner of a palm plant. Had the palm plant for about 7 months. Went away for 2 weeks moved the plant to my back sliding door area less sunlight and had family water it once. When I came back 2 stalks were dried out. Moved it back to original spot seen below. Season has changed outside so much colder, but temp indoors has remained constant. Leaves on remaining stalks are continuing to dry out. Only have 3 stalks left. Any advice on saving this plant? I follow the water schedule on the app.

these are fussy about change — i’d leave it in its original spot if it was doing well there

Thank you. I’ve heard this before about Palm plants, that they really don’t like change. I will keep it in the same place and not move it. It was thriving well before I went away but obviously the change in location really didn’t help. I hope it survives.

Out of experience with these majestic palms. Native to Madagascar and can grow up to 150 feet if taken care of, They are very needy in houseplant form 2ft to 9ft - They grow in bundles as much as 3 , You should invest into a 3in 1 meter from Lowe’s that’s 14 bucks. Shows ph/moisture/fertility or even sunlight . If these plants have a little deficiency of CAL or MAG, they will show by turning yellow. And that’s the first sign of it showing its suffering and will end up total loss. Repot regularly as for soil leaks suitable nutrients. I have one about 13ft myself, and one going strong that is about 5ft now. I’ve had total of 7 majestic palms , different from Washingtonias, Pygmy dates, European and list goes on. Super delicate
