I got this plant January 9th and I feel like it’s dying, I give it sunlight everyday and water when it’s needed. Can someone tell me if it’s dying and if there’s anything I can do? Please and Than you

It’s definitely not dying at least that’s my strongest opinion. It seems to be developing healthy hopefully it doesn’t need fertilizer or bigger pot. How old is your current pot? And how often you fertilize?.
2 Mi piaceOkay thank you, it came pre-fertilized and in that pot, in the pot is a self watering pot so it tells me when I need to give it water.
0 Mi piaceTypically after 6months the fertilizer is about out and depending on how much the plant used to build its core system. But sounds good like i say from these pics up top is healthy so maybe some instant fertilizer ready to use and a consistent placement a South window 🪟 or East facing window. And maybe the bottom just need help staying strong 🤷🏽♂️. But overall it looks good and not dying ..
1 mi piaceOkay thank you, It’s my first plant so i’m just worried lol
0 Mi piaceSince it’s relatively new to you, it might just be adjusting. The leaves that are all green look good and shiny. Theres a new one coming in too. I’d give it more time and hope it balances itself out.
1 mi piaceOkay, thank you so so much!
0 Mi piaceTo add to the reassurance here, this looks like a bird of paradise and I think I see snow outside in one of your pictures... I have a little tiny one of these, and it is SO MAD about winter. That's not unusual for houseplants, many of which are tropical and get irked by the low light and humidity. I think you made a great choice for a first plant, and I hope when spring arrives you can see how much happier it gets.
1 mi piaceThank you so much!! I bet it will be much happier in the Spring!
