yes, this looks like alocasia macrorrhiza? and they're full sun plants. they grow everywhere where i am, but they're never in the shade.

1 me gustaIt doesn’t look like a bird of paradise to me, more like a colocasia or an alocasia. Definitely looks like it needs more light and more humidity to me. Those are native to tropical and subtropical areas, especially on lake shores and other wet spots. They live bright light and lots of water but not to be sitting in soaked soil. The way yours has really long petioles and the leaves are all facing all sorts of directions are the signs of it being too dark, the yellow leaves with the edges on some being a little more yellow are signs of watering or humidity issues. You don’t want to shock the plant by putting it directly in sunlight but you should slowly acclimate it to a much brighter source of light
