Was given this cutting a few days ago, is it okay??? The white roots have gotten longer, do I need to cut the bottom?

bowlwaterthe white roots are ok! that’s a sign of a healthy plant. once the roots get 1-2 inches long, it’s safe to plant in soil. imo the glass its in seems a little narrow, i’d get a bigger one that allows the roots to grow longer and outwards

Is the dark towards the bottom okay?? The stem feels kinda slimy where it was cut but it doesn’t smell bad

as long as the growing roots are white, it should be ok. i’d double check me on that tho bc im not 100% sure.
