I acquired a bromeliad and it's pup for free but I think they have rot. Is it too late to save them?

    I think it looks okay... idk i have three but still have no clue what to look for so dont fully trust my word for it

    The pup was too far gone. The whole base crumbled off. The parent is a bit yellow at the bottom but not mushy.
