I thought the sweet potato vines (Ipomoea Marguerite Lime) were dead from the winter freeze. I stopped water last December. It got rain water and some accidental watering white I watered nearby plants. I’m actually glad it survived. It’s a beautiful full basket when it’s thriving. The leaves look like they are dipped in highlighter ink.

Beautiful 🤩 and so exciting to see how hardy. Do you have many below freezing days? Just curious because I just planted a bunch of Korean sweet potatoes and purple ones. I’ve never done this before but I can’t wait to see them bloom 😊 your lime one is so eye catching too

I get about 7 freezing nights per year. It usually warms up above freezing during the days. I’m in Zone 9. I should have treated them like common potatoes and removed them from the soil before it got too cold. Then, store them in a cool dry place, replanting in spring. Im interested in seeing the plants from your potatoes. Try planting turmeric found in the grocery stores. They produce beautiful ginger-like flowers and are easy to grow in bright light or partial direct sun. It’s also called curcuma online. It will make lots of new turmeric roots if planted in a 1 gallon or larger pot. Different colored turmeric produces different colored flowers.
