I am so upset because all of these plants I’ve been buying from this beautiful plant shop have had problems. Now I find out that three plants that I bought in a bunch had me bugs and now my other plants have bugs… I was questioning it, but then I saw this on a plant that I did not get from the shop, that I’ve had for a while. 😭 Trying not to have a panic attack here 😅 Any suggestions?

Oof. It’ll take a bit of work, but your plants might be okay. I just had a mealybug infestation myself. I drenched the entire plant with insecticidal soap once a week for two weeks. Mealybugs are gone and that plant is now thriving.

Do you remember what the soap was? It’s at least 4 plants, so probably more 😭 and I just got this infected plant on Valentine’s Day. They said wash them off but the idea of touching this is too much lol

It’s just called insecticidal soap. Brand is Bonide. And yeah, you can also try washing or spraying them off with water. It’s honestly not that big a deal once you get in there, spray them in the shower. Bugs are gross but they won’t hurt humans 😉 I would note that spraying them off may not necessarily get them all but the soap should actually kill them.

Mealybugs on one plant. Fungus, possibly powdery mildew, on the plants with the mother of thousands succulents. Repeated rubbing alcohol or insecticidal soap spray on the plants/pots/surfaces can kill the mealybugs. Fungicide to kill the fungus. Check the roots for rot and fungus infection on the succulents. 🍀🪴
