I need to invest in some new grow lights, and I know very little about them. I’ve purchased lights from YADOKER, and one of them has stopped working; it’s only about five months old. I researched Amazon, and found that LORDEM plant lights, may be better. I know that SANSI lights are well liked, but I need a telescoping light for the heighth, since some of my plants are fairly tall. I am getting a blue/red plant light for my Flamingo Lily, since she is blooming right now. Any info regarding plant lights would be greatly appreciated… TIA. 🤗💚🪴

Wow, that’s a doozy! That would light a lot of my plants, but it’s a tad bit big for my use. TXS for your post! (maybe I should get a few more flowering plants!) 🤗💚🪴

I think that main picture makes it look way more. The lights themselves are only 10" long. And each light has its own switch. But yes.... you also should get more plants 😆 🤣

I can see that you’re really enthusiastic about plant lights, and so am I; but, can you explain to me what you mean when you say the Yodoker ones get more light out? TIA. 😉💚🪴

The other one has a semi clear cover that just doesn’t get as bright as the yadoker one the yadoker one doesn’t have the clear cover on the light so it’s a lot more brighter. They both work really good if you go look at some of my plants you’ll see the lights.

I hang plug in pendant lights from my ceiling. You can use bulbs like sansi or soltech and drop it as low or high as you prefer. Stay away from those three headed gooseneck grow lights found on Amazon. They do not provide enough ppfd to do much for your plants. (I the attached photo, please ignore the philodendron. I neglected it and now it's in recovery.)

So, you’ve used just a normal pendant light with a special bulb?

Yes. So long as the bulb has an E26 base and doesn't exceed the lamp's wattage rating, you can use it in such a way.

Agree with Gnome, I'm not a fan of the three headed gooseneck lights; I've tried quite a few of them and was unimpressed with them all. I also don't get the blurple colored plant lights because I don't like them aesthetically and full spectrum gives off just as much light, if not more. For my corner stand, I use LBW grow lights, affectionately called "sun lamps" by my husband because they are BRIGHT at max strength. In my cabinet, I have DOMMIA lights. They all have built in timers; they're set for 12 hours during the growing season and 10 hours during the winter. My house's windows are tinted to keep out the sun, so I have to use grow lights exclusively and I've had several years to research and try all the brands to find what works best for my plants, so feel free to ask any other questions you might have 😊

What a terrific light set up you have; you must have very happy plants! If you were going to recommend a plant light for a single plant, which plant light have you liked the best, and why? TIA… 🤗💚🪴

Thank you! I'm pretty partial to the LBW standing lights. If I could've found a way to mount them in the cabinet without drilling holes or buying super expensive magnets, I wouldn't have even tried the dommias. The LBWs have 6 dimmable levels, 3 timer settings, the stand can go from 20" to about 70" tall (and it's easy to adjust, but very secure once tightened) and the head is adjustable so you can get the perfect angle for your plant(s).
