Night-owl

Hey so I’m having a bit of trouble with my ivy plant. So my dad was over at my house cooking and he noticed that it had gnats all over it that’s the first problem. But my dad put it outside to get the bugs off but later forgot about it. An hour later I saw it outside but by that time some of the leaves were browning that’s the second problem. So for the for the gnats they are still here but does anyone know how to get rid of them? And for the I think sun damage can anyone tell me how to help that? Also here’s a picture.

If you want to try and save it then stick the leaf thats mostly kinda green in water. Hopefully it will grow some healthy roots. Make sure you leave the node on with that leaf. And good luck. I hope hou can save it.

Not ever tried this myself but know various plants can grow new roots in water, normally got to wash of all soil first

it’s a pothos not an ivy, and they’re like $7 for a 6in pot at HD. chop and stick the cutting in stratum or water.

Pothos is an ivy plant since it is a vine. 😁

I agree it would be easier to buy a healthy new plant. They are cheap. But, you can just rinse all the soil and fungus gnats off this plant and stick in water a couple of months. I would put it in a small starter pot of soil after it stabilizes. The current pot is too big and is a breeding ground for egg laying insects and fungus with the constantly wet soil. 🪴🍀
