Planta is recommending I mist a few of my plants. I have a humidifier on them at 80% humidity, do I still need to mist them?

I wouldn’t. Research has shown that misting plants only increases your humidity for a very, very short time. I usually mark it as done, but instead have a humidifier as well.

That was my plan. Thanks for confirming!

You can turn the misting notifications off. I had to do this.

Misting is a myth that can be harmful to velvet leaves, and Alocasia. It’s a common way for bacterial growth and promotes fungal infections. The only ones I mist are my Hoya and occasionally Monstera and Philodendron. All in all the use of a humidifier and pebble tray are better options than misting.

Thank you. I just have a monstera so that's what I was asking about

They will benefit from an occasional evening spritzing with leaf foliage fertilizer dilution. Happy growing!
