Is it just me or does this app tell you to water plants too often?

Yesss I have to water my two pathos every Saturday but they tell me like every day
0 LikesI keep pressing snooze for everything!
2 LikesYou can do that?????
0 LikesYes on your daily to do list, instead of checking it off as completed, you look to the left and there is a snooze button. It then gives you the option to remind you in 2 days or skip until next time.

A lot of folks experience that with the app. It helps to add all the settings details for the site and each plant as accurately as you can. But ultimately it canât be a perfect calculation. So that being said, I use it as a reminder to help keep track of plants. It might tell me to water, but if the soil is still moist Iâll snooze it to remind me another day. I know itâs kind of annoying when that happens, but personally it still helps me from completely forgetting some of my smaller plants and less demanding plants
7 LikesYes I appreciate the reminder, I just feel like I would have killed all my plants if I went with the app advice. Just keep snoozing I guess

Yeah đŹ What type of plants in particular are you having bad recommendations for?
1 LikeI think it errors on the side of too often. Maybe because you can click snooze if itâs not needed.đ¤ˇââď¸ Not sure though. Personally I use it as a reminder to check my plants. If itâs close, I snooze for two days. If itâs no where near needing water, I skip until next time. If itâs really off on a particular plant, you can always add a custom schedule. I also try to group plants around my home by like needs (light and water) so that allows me to quickly check a group at once to make sure none need anything. Or I can water them all at once and mark a whole section as watered. Side note, sometimes when people are having this issue with a lot of plants, itâs because they forgot to fill out 100% of the information on Planta. Not saying that is whatâs going on for you. But, that is a problem for a lot of people, so I would suggest when youâre having that problem that you double check that all the info on that plant is filled out and still correct. Yes, it does suggest watering more often than I actually need to water. I figured theyâre never gonna be able to guess it exactly correct because there are so many micro climates. Outside and in our homes. Like I have some plants on a north facing window up high on a wall in a two-story room, so it gets full north light. And then I have other plants on a downstairs south facing window thatâs partially blocked by one house. Thereâs not a good way to log those kind of differences. I have plants in a garage with a light on them and fans blowing on them when itâs raining too much outside, and I have no way of logging that kind of set up. Speaking of outside, I live in a drought prone area a couple of miles from a lake. So we get LOTS of rain for a month or two, then no rain for most of 6 MONTHS. The weather men canât even predict our weather correctly on the same day, so I donât think planta will be able too either.đ I guess you just have to go with your gut sometimes, but I know thatâs annoying when youâve gotten an app because it would be nice if it could figure that stuff out for you hundred percent perfectly all the time. Maybe one day!â¤ď¸
1 LikeYes good advice, I have to look through and make sure I filled out all the info for all of my plants. I also didnât consider the microclimates and it would be hard to take that all into account. Maybe I should consider making some custom schedules, havenât looked into it yet đŞ´đ
