Calling all fellow plant nerds🚨🤓 I got this grow light the other day and woke up this morning to my Hoya stem totally wrapped around the light pole! I am in awe and am so confused on how plants have such spatial awareness! Does anyone know how this works or how they understand their surroundings in order to do something like this?! I’m convinced they have eyes and a brain somewhere now😭

plants can see!!! they can become variegated if you put a variegated plant next to it:) they also respond and grow better when you talk nicely to them or sing

I e always wondered that with the plants that camouflage by looking like birds. Like. How?! How do plants know what a bird looks like?!

This! How do the lily flowers grow to look like angry monkeys? How do moth and caterpillars know to put distracting eyeball markings on their body? And that playful adorable palm size Australian octopus with the blue dots that has one of the deadliest venom on earth! 🤣

Hoyas are epiphytes, meaning they grow on trees. So they know to shoot out their vines away from the sun (source of light) because that’s where the tree would be, if that makes sense
