Is this brown coloring normal for a Ripple Jade? Ripley appears to be thriving and I just pruned a lot of dead/discolored/shriveled leaves. I want to make sure the coloring is okay. Please let me know what yall think!

I agree…not normal. But I think it’s dehydration. Normally the leaves should be green and glossy.

How likely is dehydration if I’m following Planta’s schedule? (Any experience with this particular plant on the app?)

I have found their schedules to be hit or miss. I use them more for “reminders” than to-do. I have had numerous times it caused overwatering and a couple that were under watered. Get a good hydrometer and check moisture levels before watering. You can always manually change the schedules to accommodate a plant’s specific needs based on climate, location and growing conditions. My jade (pictured in my last post) gets watered about every 6 weeks on Planta’s schedule. But it was recently moved to a new location so I will pay closer attention to it for a few months.

I follow the schedule but only if the soil is dry for the one in the picture. I have another larger one that's in gritty mix that I tend to follow the schedule but I still check to make sure the underlying stuff is dry.

    Mine doesn't look like that.

Mine went like that after a trip infection, not sure if they were connected
