This is my first Anthurium. It’s a magnificum x forgetti hybrid. I’ve had him for about a month/month and a half. The two biggest leaves are new since then so I knew he’s (yes, this ONE plant of mine is a male lol) doing well but am I supposed to trim these small leaves? They’re never going to get bigger, right? And also, thoughts on staking Anthuriums vs letting them be?

    You might as well cut the yellowing one bcz its going to die. The rest of the little ones you can cut off if you don't like the looks but they do help photosynthesize (not sure that's the correct spelling) but they help the plant like the bigger leaves.

    Keeping smaller leaves is a personal preference, they aren't needed. I personally like the tiny leaves, but that's just me. You can definitely stake an Anthurium, and some need it, especially the larger leaf varieties
