My pothos has been very unhappy with me… The leaves have been yellowing nonstop for a few months now. I just repotted it which was much needed, but that almost seems to have made things worse! Too much light possibly? This window is north-facing and doesn’t get direct light, but there is a grow light beside it for some other plants (see second pic, don’t worry about my Chinese money plant it’s just dramatic). I water it regularly, and started fertilizing again recently. The pot has drainage and I used a mix of orchid bark, perlite and moisture control soil (semi-chunky ratio) when I repotted last weekend. Why is it so sad? Is it lonely? Does it hate me? Did it hear about the election results? Any advice is appreciated because it’s becoming an eyesore!

My Golden pothos is in a North window too. I wish I could take a picture of her for you to see! She’s in a 14” pot and I told her I’m not going any bigger! I have grown at least 7 other plants from her and some of her leaves are bigger than my whole hand! She’s probably just upset from the transplant! I’m sure she’ll come around. Oh, I see a little camera down below. I’m going to try and take a picture of her. And she started out as a little 4” pot!

You should review if there were changes to the environment (temperature, light, location), the pot size, the soil or additives (water/fertilizer) right before the yellowing started. The cause is not obvious from the photo. Here are some of the things that can cause yellowing: - Watering inconsistently, too much, or too little. - Watering by a strict schedule without verifying the soil needs water can lead to both overwatering and under watering - Repotting too soon or to a pot too large when the roots can’t dry up all the water can lead to root rot and yellowing. - Temperatures too low/high. Put a thermometer near the plant. - Hard water can affect sensitive plants - Low/High lighting. Insufficient light could be a factor in a north facing window. You may need a grow light above the plant. - Over fertilizing can quickly and continuously cause yellowing - Pests

Thank you so much - lots to consider! Since it hasn’t been happy in this spot for a while im going to try moving it. It’s also possible I moved it to too large a pot.

It may just need a good trim also and then propagating the trimmings. I did that for a pathos in my office and it's so much happier
