Probably needs more humidity. Also consider that it can be your tap water if that’s what you use. If you have several tropical, most will benefit from a room size humidifier. And some plants are sensitive to certain minerals in the tap, especially calatheas and dracaenas. May need filtered, rain water, or RO water.
3 Me gustaThank Phil, I will look into getting a humidifier I already use a conditioner for my tap water.
0 Me gustaI fill gallon jugs with my well water and let sit 24 hours. We only have chlorine (not detectable) in our water. But cities have chlorine & maybe fluoride. But 24 hours on the counter with no lid removed it.
0 Me gustaThis means they need more humidity!
1 me gustaThey like moist soil and distilled water. It can really damage them if you use unfiltered water. I have a moisture meter for my calatheas. If they ever get dry I give them a sip of water whether planta tells me to or not. I have the nursery pot sitting in a slightly bigger pot. I put rocks between the pots and make sure there is always water but not enough to touch the nursery pot. It increases humidity but doesn’t make the plant sit in soggy soil
1 me gustaThank you so much! I created a humidity tray hoping that will turn things around.
