I got this peace lily sensation from steins garden center today and it looked rough so I toke it home and repotted it and it was root bound and it had some root rot so I cut the rot off and I did remove a lot of healthy roots to stimulate root growth ( about 1/3 not sure if this was the best idea) and the pot was 1 inch bigger but the soil had a hard time filling in the gaps in the new pot so I had to really push and punch the pot to get it to fall in, I’m just worried it’s going to go into shock now. What do you think?

Since it was already in rough shape, and you did move it to a separate environment, it was gonna go into shock anyways. Just give it some time to adjust. I would make sure that the soil is completely dry before watering again and ensure that it has enough humidity.

I’m not sure what that plant is exactly, but I’m fairly certain it is not a peace Lily. It looks more similar to a bird of paradise or a philodendron of some sort, maybe Congo

I agree, it looks like a bird of paradise to me, but I'm not 100% sure
