I just want everyone to see what a bad case of mealy bugs look like, in case you never seen. I had to throw her out:(

1 likeI lost a mollis pilea that was GORGEOUS, my goldfish i think I saved. Had her outside quarantined until the last couple days..but she is by herself in the bathroom. It's been 3 months!
0 likesOh dam. My condolences and fingers crossed that's your only loss 🤞
3 likesWow that is a lot of them. I just gave my blue oil fern a second treatment for a mild case. This time all the mealies were smaller, so hopefully they haven't laid eggs. If not I'll just get em again
1 likeWhat are you treating with? I think I've got them taken care of fingers 🤞 I used alcohol mix
1 likeI have so far gone with just physically removing them and cleaning the leaves with water. I repotted in hopes of removing any eggs in the soil (though the roots held tightly to the old soil.) If the mealies return again, I'll use either neem or alcohol, but i figured I'd be gentle and not do chemicals and repotting at the same time
3 likesI agree with this, my money tree was exposed and I did a very invasive alcohol treatment and a repot; it’s currently still trying to bounce back:(
