Hello! Here’s a tricky one for me: how to repot this Staghorn fern? I bought it like this a year ago but is impossible to fertilize like this and I would eventually like to have it in a hanging basket. Any info/insight appreciated! (Bonus points if you can see the lizard’s tail). 😊
I just sat mine in pots on top of soil and some moss and they’ve now grown roots and attached into the soil and are growing great. I’m eventually going to put them in hanging baskets
What kind of soil did you use?
1 like Sorry I didn’t get a notification for this so only just saw it! I just used indoor potting mix with some perlite and orchid bark mixed in cause I already had it mixed up for my other plants but they’ve all rooted into the soil and seem happy. I did try mounting one at one point on a board with some soil and moss but I found the moss dried out too quickly and I had to water it every day almost so that’s why I’ve done it this way

Looks like it needs a lot more moss, which will help you fertilize it. Mine has moss covering the entire back, so I water and liquid fertilize in the sink pretty successfully. She’s grown a decent amount in the past two months despite living in a very shady area.
