I am so sad, I think I’m about to lose the entire bottom of my umbrella plant. All of the leaves are turning yellow at once. Any idea if they will ever grow back in the future? I’ve been needing to repot with better draining soil so I’m guessing that’s the problem. Also thinking maybe it’s because it’s getting colder here and it’s right next to the window. Any thoughts? 😢

Are umbrella plants trees? If so, they'll lose their bottom leaves and cork off the stem as they grow. Odd that they're all going at once, but if there's a draft in the window or it's getting significantly less light due to winter, it might've stressed the plant into rushing its process.

Yes I think you may be right. I’ve moved it a little further from the window and we will see what happens.
