Guys!!! I need ideas/thoughts on moss pole, where to insert, if I should etc. 🫶🏻🪴 I got him about 2 months ago, he’s already grown significantly, and has pushed out like 4 new leafs! 😂👏🏼💚 My office isn’t big, so I’m getting worried about the size of this guy. Any suggestions?! 🙏🏼

1 j'aimeWhen it comes to steaks, I’ve had the best results with treated cedar planks from a hardware or lumber store. I think they measure 1 x 1. Each plant has a back and a front. The front is where the petiole (or the leaf) emerges from and the back is where the aerial roots shoot from. I would identify the back of the largest stem (or the one closest to the back) and essentially push a wood stake down into the plant behind the back of it. I would then take whatever you feel is best (yarn, twine, plant ties, etc.) and tie the stem (not the patios) to the stake.
I started my plants before I knew all of this. I was also rotating my plants at the time (big mistake). I ended up having to slightly rotate some of the plants so that the backs could all face the same way (hence the chaos).
3 J'aime Thank you so much, I have some moss poles, but I could try cedar planks too. 🙏🏼 I just want to help it move more upward rather than outward. 🫶🏻 Since my office isn’t huge!

I would get some kind of trellis and stick it in the middle but if you want to do a moss pole then put it where the stems are thickest. If you don't want it to get bigger then don't repot it in a bigger pot or snip some of the roots if they are coming out of the bottom. It looks beautiful though 😍!
2 J'aime I definitely won’t repot. Since I don’t have the room! 😂🙏🏼 There a few areas where the stem is thick, so a moss pole might be the trick! 👏🏼🥰

I heard that if you want it to stay small dont allow it to climb too much and keep it in a pot that matches the size you'd like it to stay
1 j'aime Yes, exactly! I don’t want to repot! 🙏🏼 I’ll maybe just put a pole/plank and see if it can grow up and out front more rather than side ways! 😌🙌🏼 I try to always leave them in their established pots! ☺️
