How should I know when to plant this? I cut it off from a freinds plant and it has been growing in water for a few weeks, the roots have begun to sprout and I’m not sure when to plant.

When your roots have roots

0 LikesYou want at least 2-4” of root length, and ideally secondary roots growing.

0 LikesRoots would grow faster if you cut it into 2 to 3 pieces and root each of them in water. Currently, the long stem is surviving on one little root growing slowly because energy is going into the long stem and excess leaves. Place in water when the roots are at least 2 inches. Fertilize while it’s in water. I also add SuperThrive plant vitamins.
1 LikeWhat exactly do you mean “cut into 2 to 3 pieces”? Like, cut the stem?
