Hey!! I need some help, I’m not sure what to do about these 2 plants. I don’t know how to properly remove the jade’s blackening leaves, and the other plant pictured has not grown at all and i don’t know how to help it grow from the cut stems. Any help is appreciated!!
The jade’s brown areas look more like old damage/scarring than active rot. If the leaves are still firm and mostly green, they don’t have to be removed, but if you don’t like the appearance, you can remove the entire damaged leaf cleanly at the base. I typically just snap mine off but you could use small shears just be careful around the other leaves and stems. The other plant looks like a Dieffenbachia that has been cut back. If the canes are still firm, they can absolutely sprout new growth from the nodes. I would be a little concerned that the pot is too large for the amount of plant/root system that’s left, though. A pot only about 1–2 inches wider than the root ball would be safer because that much extra soil can stay wet too long and increase the risk of rot. Bright indirect light, warmth, and careful watering should give it the best chance to regrow.

Is the dieffenbachia in terracotta? If so, I would repot; terracotta dries out quickly and dieffenbachia like their soil to stay moist. A plastic pot about 1" larger than the rootball with a chunky soil mix should have the plant bouncing back in no time!
