Dear Husband....I love you so much for watering my plants while I have been so busy. I love that you are stepping up and helping me without me asking. However, you are killing my plants. Some are so water logged that I almost have to repot them in dry soil. I have thrown away 2. And watering some with tap water is killing them. Also, I have them in certain spots for reasons. I get that you don't know, but please put them back where you found them. Also, I have insecticidal soap for a reason. If you aren't sure, just ask.. because now my thrips have moved from the initial quarantine to other plants. In the end, this is all my fault but wow....my poor collection!

    You can give him access to your plant tasks as a caregiver. Maybe add notes about specific plants needing certain water types?

      He already has access. He just doesn't get the subtle stuff. Like I put this plant to the side on this shelf for a reason. Or not leaving standing water. He really is trying.

    Went through this recently when I had a neighbor take care of all my potted patio plants while I was gone for a week in 100° temps. I was very clear that I was more worried about overwatering than underwater, but even though I thought she knew a lot about plants already, she severely overwatered. Most of them had drainage thank goodness, but the few that didn’t were just sitting in water when I got back and I lost a few. But I tried to look at the bright side. It would’ve been a lot worse if she hadn’t tended to them at all.🪴🪏🌵❤️

    Sweet man right there!! I’m sorry to hear about your collection. Sounds like he needs extremely detailed plant care instructions 😅 praying for your plants’ recovery!

    My partner and I can’t even talk about my plants. He overwatered once (I didn’t need help) and I was pissed and then he did it again! Both times without asking!!! 😡
