I would unpot and check the roots, then repot to a smaller pot if needed depending how good her roots are, and clean off dead leaves. I always do repotting on my new plants (I know they said to leave it be for sometime, lol) and use my own soil mixture to make sure they're quick drying.

0 likesi usually repot all my new plants as well - but this one is so heavy and large so i’ve been putting it off 🤣

0 likesI would definitely take it out of that big pot and see what the roots look like. It looks like there are some separate clumps of the plant so I would carefully try and divide the bad one away from the rest. Cluster the remaining parts of the Peace Lily and plant them into one smaller pot keeping the soil at approximately the same level that it's at now. The piece that has all the brown stems on it I would either throw away or clean off all of the Dead stems and possibly plant it deeper in a separate pot. Not usually the way it's done but you don't want that bare stem exposed.
0 likesThe plant is fine that what you see is old leaves that were cut not close to the plant itself and that’s all. If the plant is healthy up top the roots are fine.
