I cut two Stella leaves and my leaf has not generated new roots. Anyone has tips ?

    It’s gotta be a node with the leaf too or it’ll either rot or grow roots but not new growth

    I think they can thrive as cuttings with no nodes (pothos) but they won’t give roots. You need to make sure it has nodes on it for roots to be possible for the plant. Yours look like they are giving up

      Don’t worry. You can try again next time. 💚 Just make sure to cut a piece that has the nodes on it. If they fall off, they don’t always have nodes, so sometimes you just have to toss them. It’s the little brown bump on the stem. There are multiple. On the stem. here is a pic I grabbed online. Even these small trial and error you can learn from. I have two leaves with no nodes in water now. Just watching them to see what happens with propagation drops added in the water. And nothing. They look stellar and are thriving but they are not making roots.

      Don’t worry! Just be sure to cut near a node (spot where leaf meets stem) and either place it in water and wait for it to grow roots or place it in moist soil and in a few weeks it should grow roots! If you want an easy plant, pick pothos, philodendron, or tradescantia!

    So beautiful but no roots. These are pothos too. And they are so easy to take care of. I’m not sure about your plant if it’s a bit pickier, I’ve never had one of those.

      I just looked them up, they are beautiful. I would go on the propagations group And search for posts with that type of plant to learn how to propagate it. I’m not sure in this case as I don’t see nodes on her stems.
