Anyone good with Tissue cultures? I bought my first ones in August and deflasked them 8/11. The two Alocasias are doing great and I will probably take off the domes this weekend. The monstera was on the struggle bus a little (had to cut back a leaf that rotted, then got knocked over so I had to repot) but my philodendron one seems to not be growing. She isn’t dead or rotting by any means I checked the roots a couple days ago and still very tiny and thin but seem healthy. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

I wouldn’t say I’m an expert but I’ve been successful with about 10 TCs so far. I’ve also had good luck with the alocasias. My monsteras are doing well but are slower. The philos are very slow. I’ve got healthy plants but they have not grown new leaves either. I think maybe that’s their thing? Maybe they’re just slower to start?

Thank you! I am glad it’s not just me …. When do you start fertilizing yours?

I usually apply 1/4 dose fertilizer with every watering after about a month. Depends on how they’re looking. I guess I don’t really go by time. Then, once they start to push a new leaf I start venting or taking the dome off for a few hours at a time.
