Somewhere I read something about using alcohol with neem oil. Can someone explain why there would be a need to use alcohol with neem? Does it make neem more effective? TIA.… 🤗💚🪴

The pests spray mix i use is, 70% Alcohol, dish soap, neem oil, DI water. It has nothing to do with the other as far as making neem work better. The 70% alcohol works as a pests killer/deterant on its own. Making a well rounded pests spray. I use it on all new plants ggoing into QT

1 me gustaYou seem like a good guy to ask; once you get fungus gnats, is that a forever diagnosis? I’ve been trying for months on end, to get rid of those nasties… I have traps in every room, and use two kinds of BTI in my water, and still, I have them! Is there never any end of them, once you have them? TIA. 🤗💚🪴
1 me gustaI feel like gnats are never gone 100%. At least they aren't for me, because I constantly have new plants coming in. But I have definitely gotten them down to be mostly non-existent. I originally tried neem oil in the water and spray and then also zero traps. and got barely any help. Then I moved to weekly mosquito bits watering (to kill the larvae in the soil). That definitely helped but wasn't 100% and I'd get like waves of them. It seemed like. Then I moved on bonide systemic granules (also have been using a liquid version by NSN 209) huge!!! Difference. I also added neamatodes to the soil to help with killing the larvae. But I'm not sure if they live long if I then forget and use the ssystemic, but it's been fantastic. I see maybe 1 fly a day now.
1 me gustaOh, I'm a lady.. hahaha I feel like we need to be able to add a pic of ourselves... maybe as a plant. I may actually get my daily water in then 😆 🤣 😂 . I know I have one up, but they don't show in the little bubble
2 Me gustaYou are just tooooo crafty, but, oh, so funny! 🤗💚🪴
1 me gustaOops! I’ve reread your post, and think I misspoke. I’m thinking that the NSN you spoke of, is an updated liquid version of the granular Bonide; is that correct? If so, can I ask where you purchased it? TIA. 🤗💚🪴
0 Me gustaNo, i always get that acronym wrong. It's SNS- Sierra Natural Science, I've been trying it on some sensitive plants, since the bonide can be harsh. You can buy it directly, they also ship through Amazon. I buy the small like 1.2 oz pack, and it makes a gallon or 32 oz depending on the product. It's also rosemary based, so safe for kids and pets
