My Syngonium is having a problem, but I don’t know what to do about it. Notice the two yellow leaves at the bottom of the picture; this happens every day, and usually it’s more than two leaves. I’ve heard these plants like to dry out a bit, but I don’t know if that’s accurate, or not. Can anyone tell me why these plants have leaves that turn yellow? TIA!

Highly recommend letting them dry out 90-100% of the way before watering again. I lose a lot of leaves towards the base of the plant if it’s overwatered, or not getting enough airflow to the roots. If you’re losing that many leaves though I’d pull it out of the pot and check the root health!

I just put mine in self watering planter and they do great, because they are dramatic when thirsty but can easily be overwatered

I don’t buy specific ones I just get pots/vases that my plastic pots fit in and add high moisture yarn to it like this!

But naked root self watering planters are good too!

I looked on Amazon for the high absorbent rope/yarn you mentioned, and found several. This particular one seemed like the best, including customer reviews. I’ll show you a picture of it, and perhaps you can tell me what you think of it, if it’s not the one you use. Thanks so much for all of your info; I really appreciate it!
