My mom has had this plant my whole life. His name is Moses ☺️. Any tips for propagating this? My mom thought it was a wild monstera but I’m thinking it’s a split leaf philodendron.

Try a moss pole to support the split leaf philodendron, like you would with a monstera deliciosa. The stem might break from the heavy load.
1 me gustaYou’re right this is a split leaf philodendron and when it looks droopy it needs water and also the plant is the type that thrive in high humidity.
1 me gustaIt sits next to a fireplace! It gets so dry in there during the winter. It’s been a part of my family for so long I want to make sure I can pass it down. I’m giving these tips to my mom so I can make sure it gets passed down to me! Haha thanks
0 Me gustaThey hate dry air and soil, especially in winter so try to keep the humidity up and soil moisture consistent.
1 me gustathis is a thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum - recently reclassified from the philo family. these can be tricky — and i agree it needs to be watered. because this plant is so large and old, i recommend looking into air layering. do some research before making any moves, but that would be the route id choose if this were my plant 😎🤞🏻
2 Me gustaYou might try fertilizer, to encourage some pup growth, then you can just divide it.
2 Me gustaHow cool that your mom has had this plant your whole life!! What a beautiful thing for you both to share 💛
