Does everyone do a deep watering (where you water until water comes through the drainage hole) every time you water? I’m really struggling with how much to water.

I water mine until water comes out of the bottom holes, I keep all my plants in plastic nursery pots and sit them in decorative pots and when I water I will let the plastic pot sit and drain for a while before sitting it back in the decorative pots to make sure it isn’t sitting in water.

This should be done every time to flush out mineral build up, etc. Watering less but more often is not as good for them. If you are finding that the soil is staying moist for too long then you should look at the soil you’re using. But the demands of the plant will dictate how moist the substrate should be. Water thoroughly (out the drainage holes) then allow to dry to the point the species demands. Always. Godspeed! 💚💚

I deep water all of my outdoor potted. Sometimes I’ll put them in a kiddie pool too and let them soak for a while if real dry. Im in zone 9B my indoor plants maybe a solid cup or two of water once a week depending on the plant.
