This may be a dumb question, but does this mean it will start growing out from there? Or is it just a new leaf? Update: This is a fiddle leaf fig

    I'm not familiar with this plant but yes, it looks like new growth that is budding

    Looks like a sucker if it’s a non flowering plant leave it if it’s a flowering or fruiting plant pull it off

    Usually when fiddles are about to grow a new leaf they grow a brown sheath first. So yeah, it is the start of new leaf growth.

      If you wish to pinch it off you can I've just never seen it grow off of the crotch like that, but I could be the angle.
