Hello! I’m sorry for always spamming my plant problems yall 🫣 But I wanted to ask if this is normal for I have a terrarium and in it there is a baby prayer plant. I’ve heard that when they get bigger they open and close with light and such. But right now I have it under a grow light and everyday when I go to turn the light off I notice that the leaves start to droop. When I go to turn it on in the morning it’s fine. Is that a problem or a normal thing???? It also looks a little brown in spots 😭😭

My prayer plant loves humidity and curling leaves are a sign that the plant is trying to keep its humidity higher. The brown spots could also be from lack of humidity. Maybe have it a bit further away from the grow light or reduce the amount of time you have the grow light on. You could also try a humidifier if neither of those options are good. Good luck, love the terrarium setup!! :)

The raising and lowering is part of its normal behavior, the curling isn’t normal.

The leaves are supposed to go up and down. Like praying hands. It’s not drooping. That’s the motion. Not open and closed. That is leaf curl. They are two different things. This first is natural and normal for maranta. The second is a moisture issue. I would say be mindful of watering. Pepperoni and maranta have different watering requirements and also light requirements. Pepperoni can take more light but need less water. Maranta don’t like direct light but like moisture.

I think Women are Water is suggesting they shouldn’t be planted in the terrarium together because they have opposite needs.
