💭🤔 Thoughts? - My snake plant, Shoeshine, is getting so big, so fast! Should I let him grow wild or use some stakes to straighten him out?

It’s really your preference on how you want it to look. I personally would stake mine just to keep the straight up look
3 likesPersonally, I would stake it just because it takes up less space like that and it makes it look more tidy.
2 likesYeah, I'm thinking I might stake him.
1 likeHow do you get yours to grow! Mine is still so small
2 likesI honestly don't know 😂 Believe it or not, I bought him at a Mexican grocery store a while back 😮 I just make sure to water him when Planta says to and talk to him everyday 🥰 about a month ago I moved him from one part of the house to another and I think he likes it better 🥳
1 likeOk awesome
1 likeWhat kind of light is it in, and what kind of fertilizer do you use? TIA!
1 likeMy snake plant was growing some really wonky looking leaves; they were sticking out at odd angles, and I didn’t like the look of it. So I took some clear plastic stakes, and sort of remodeled it. I’m much happier with this look, rather than the wonky look from before, but this is just my opinion. Good luck!
4 likesOoo I like the clear stake idea! I think I'll try that! And to answer your other comment, I haven't fertilized him yet. The spot he's in is a part shade area of the house.
1 likeDefinitely go for the fertilizer! I’ve had this plant for years, and had never fertilized it in the past. However, with the help of Planta, I started fertilizing it and, you wouldn’t believe it, all of the pretty variagation starting showing up instead of full green leaves… so pretty! I never realized that fertilizing could make such a difference to my plain Jane snake plant.
1 likeIt needs more light than it’s getting. That’s the sign of a problem ☹️
